Inspired by recent visits to the Scilly Isles, a collection of 100+ islands 28 miles to the south-west of the UK's Land's End, the paintings in this series attempt to capture the essence of the raw beauty to be found at the very edge of the British Isles. St Agnes is the most westerly of the 5 inhabited islands in the Scilly Isles and a recent trip there on a hot July day particularly stands out in the mind. There are no cars and you can walk around it in an hour and a half. That's if you hurry, but why would you? Soak up the view, and tarry a while.
