Yantras

Painted in India, these delicate paintings on silk represent the mystic symbols of the ten Mahavidyas or Wisdom Goddesses of the Tantric tradition, which are still used today in the devotional worship of the Goddess in her many forms in India and Nepal. The creation of every new yantra is seen as consecration of metaphysical space with its own power field, and as such are seen as an expression of the deity itself.
