Yantras and Meditation paintings inspired by India

During an artist residency in New Delhi, I made delicate paintings on silk inspired by the Mahavidyas or Wisdom Goddesses of the Hindu and tantric traditions. Devotees still use these mystic geometric symbols or yantras today, to invoke a blessing of the Goddess in her many forms (Kali, Durga-Ma, Tara etc…) along with accompanying mantras. Each yantra represents a different Goddess or dimension of consciousness and can be seen as a powerful invocation to the Divine Mother.
